In this article, you can find out what mixed feeding can look like in order to reduce the CO2 pawprint.

Reduce the CO2 pawprint with mixed feeding!

A dog does not have to be fed a completely vegan diet to make a positive contribution to animals and nature. It is also possible to reduce meat consumption in your own household and thus have a positive impact on your dog's carbon footprint with a mixed diet.

How can mixed feeding look like?

As both VEGAN adult and INSECT adult are designed as complete foods for adult dogs, each of these foods can be easily combined with our other adult products.

Mixed feeding for dogs with food intolerance:

For dogs that accept a change of food without any problems, it is possible to offer variety in the food bowl and, for example, plan two vegan days per week.

An example: 2 days feeding with HPC Adult with Poultry & Millet and 1 day HPC Vegan Adult or HPC Insect Adult.

Mixed feeding for nutrition-sensitive dogs:

If a dog is rather sensitive and does not tolerate a constant change of food well, the different menus can also be combined in the daily feeding.

For example: At each meal, half the recommended amount of the usual dry food HPC Adult Poultry & Millet is mixed with HPC Vegan Adult or HPC Insect Adult to cover the food ration with a consistent mixture.

This means that each meal consists of an unchanged mixture for the sensitive dog, which does not change completely over and over again.
