sensitive cat food

1. What symptoms indicate a food sensitivity or intolerance?

The symptoms of food sensitivity can be quite varied:

⊗ Skin and coat problems

⊗ Diarrhoea

⊗ Flatulence

⊗ Vomiting

⊗ Weight loss

If you suspect that your cat is suffering from an intolerance, you should switch to a gluten-free or grain-free cat food. It is important that you also avoid treats containing grain. However, if your cuddly tiger continues to have health problems, we recommend a visit to the vet.

2. What should I bear in mind when feeding my nutritionally sensitive cats?

If your kitty has been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance or allergy, the only option is to exclude cereals containing gluten from their diet.

Foods based on a gluten-free recipe are ideal for pets with sensitive diets.
Furthermore, the more exotic a type of meat is in the food, the greater the risk that the crude ash content will be too high and thus burden your kitty's kidneys and urinary tract. We therefore pay particular attention to the types of meat used in our products and carefully consider which raw materials can be combined with each other. Poultry is a source of meat that is very stable and has a low crude ash content. It is therefore ideal as a basis for cat food. Special types of meat are a good addition and provide new flavour variations.

3. Which food is suitable for food sensitivities?

Our variety of grain-free menus, as well as our gluten-free menus, are ideal for sensitive pets.

4. How do I switch my cat to a sensitive food?

With nutritionally sensitive cats, you should pay particular attention to the changeover to a different food. The change should not be made abruptly, but gradually over a period of about 7 days. The proportion of the new food is gradually increased each day.

You can find all the necessary information on this in our guide article: Changing your cat's diet: In 3 simple steps

Tip: For sensitive cats, it is also advisable to choose the same food permanently and not to constantly switch between different types of food. The cat's gastrointestinal tract has to readjust to each change, which can lead to new irritations.
