Every dog owner wants to reward and spoil their dog, which is why we have developed Sammy's delicious and versatile snack world. In the following article, we explain what types of treats there are and what you should look out for when adding snacks.
How many snacks can I feed my dog?
Treats are a delicious addition to your four-legged friend's favorite food. The type and quantity should always be adapted to the size, weight, activity and age of your furry friend.
Your dog absorbs all the important nutrients such as proteins, fats, vitamins and trace elements through its complete food.
We therefore recommend feeding no more than 10% of the daily amount of food in the form of treats and rewards. This guideline ensures that your dog receives all the important nutrients from the main food and does not put on weight as a result of the additional rewards.
It is also important to consider the rewards in the daily ration of food.
Which treats are suitable for my dog?
Our product range includes gently baked rewards, grain-free snacks for meat lovers, tasty functional snacks and small bars in a practical pocket size. This means that you are equipped with the perfect, energy-packed reward for every occasion.
Protein bars to-go in a practical pocket size
Sammy´s fitness slice bars are a whole new category of reward. With their particularly high protein content, the bars are the ideal supplement for dogs in the performance sector. Whether for dog sports, hunting or rescue work, they are the best choice when extra energy is needed quickly. Thanks to the high proportion of fresh chicken, the fitness bars are not only extremely tasty, but also particularly easy to digest. The protein bars are also ideal as a reward for dogs that tend to eat poorly or need to put on a little weight.

Grain-free snacks for meat lovers
Sammy's protein-rich meat snacks are completely grain-free and a real treat for any meat lover.

Gently baked, crispy fresh treats
Sammy's baked goods have a low protein and fat content and are therefore perfect for dogs that are on a light or senior diet due to obesity or age. These baked snacks include Sammy's Heartbreakers and Sammy's Fruit Slices, for example.

Tasty functional snacks
Sammy's tasty functional snacks are the perfect addition and ideal support for your pet's favorite daily food.
What types of functional snacks do we offer?
Snacks that support cartilage and joints
If you want to support your dog's cartilage and joints, Sammy's joint bites are the perfect reward. The presence of cartilage is crucial for good joint function. Mussel extract from the New Zealand green-lipped mussel is used for the joint snacks. This type of mussel has a particularly high content of glucosaminogylcanes. This ingredient provides important building blocks to support the cartilage and thus the function of the joints. Dried shrimps are also used to increase the chondroitin sulphate content in the joint snacks. Chondroitin sulphate strengthens the resistance of your pet's cartilage.

Snacks to support dental hygiene
Sammy's dental products have been developed to support the teeth. Sammy's giant chew bar tooth fairy, the medium-sized tooth bars and the small tooth sticks have a firm yet flexible structure that ensures long-lasting chewing pleasure. Sammy's tooth fairy contains special cellulose fibers, the increased fiber content promotes the harder structure. The fibers can also enhance the scraping effect of the snacks directly on the dog's teeth when biting. Sammy's tooth bars contain eucalyptus oil for fresh breath. The sodium hexametaphosphate in Sammy's tooth bars can help prevent tartar build-up.
For every dog, a balanced, needs-based diet is an essential building block for good health. Choosing the right reward for the individual dog and sticking to the recommended quantities are crucial. Then nothing stands in the way of successful training, dedicated work and even rewarding your dog on the couch.
