The right food for your puppy up to 12 months of age

Already in the first days your little fur baby conquers your heart. In the first weeks, the time together is determined by physical closeness, cuddling and many caresses. The love for your puppy will be the basis of your relationship and every decision you will make in your dog's life.

Did you know that the weight gain of puppies is considerable? Already after seven to nine days his birth weight is doubled and at the end of the second week it is tripled. So your puppy's need for various nutrients also changes as he develops. In our special junior formulas, the nutrient components are optimally adapted to the changing needs of your fur baby.

Because your puppy will gain so much weight in such a short time, consistent growth is critical for a vital dog life. Adhering to the feeding recommendation given is critical, especially during growth. A puppy should never be overfed. Snacks and dog treats are often part of training, but should really remain a special reward for special achievements. For small daily training sessions, part of the daily ration from the junior food can be used as a reward.

Especially in puppyhood, your fur baby will make many experiences, learn new things and be rewarded for successes in everyday life. Since especially for puppies a balanced and needs-covering diet is very important, the selection of the right reward plays a major role.

However, one thing is very important: a snack should always remain a special reward. For the daily snacks in training, you can wonderfully use a part of the daily ration from the junior food for young dogs. The croquettes are also ideal for search games or retrieve training. For special performances and challenges, you can then use a high-quality and rather low-energy snack. For this, for example, our Fruitees or Sammy's heartbreakers are ideally suited.
