You may also know our soft kibble in stores under the terms “semi-moist” or “half-moist.” This type of food is the next evolution of traditional dry food production. Soft kibble is also produced using the extrusion process. The use of a particularly high amount of fresh ingredients is the special feature of this method and ensures an exceptional taste experience.

Precise blending of high-quality ingredients

At the beginning of the process, all raw materials and essential minor components, such as vitamins, trace elements, and functional ingredients, are automatically dosed precisely according to the recipe and carefully blended together. This step ensures that every kibble piece contains the same balanced nutritional composition. It forms the foundation for consistently high quality.

Gentle processing through modern extrusion

The prepared mixture is heated with the addition of steam and processed under controlled pressure. This optimally breaks down the nutrients it contains, making them especially easy for dogs or cats to absorb. At the same time, the kibble gains its characteristic shape and a uniform surface.

Controlled drying for the “soft kibble”

The kibble is dried under controlled conditions to maintain a uniform residual moisture content of around 18%. This makes it about twice as moist as conventional dry food – the foundation for our especially aromatic soft kibble.

Refinement for taste and energy

In this step, the kibble is gently coated under vacuum with high-quality fats and heat-sensitive oils. This not only enhances the taste and protects sensitive fatty acids, but also specifically increases the energy content – ensuring high acceptance and maximum enjoyment in the bowl.

Gentle cooling for stable quality

After the refinement process, the kibble is cooled with controlled airflow. This stabilizes the kibble structure and ensures product quality, allowing the food to retain its optimal characteristics.

Careful packaging for maximum freshness

Finally, the kibble is filled and securely packaged according to strict quality standards. This ensures that freshness, taste, and nutrients are optimally preserved – right up until they end up in your dog’s bowl.
